What We Do

We have lots of great ideas for events throughout the year and can't wait to get started. Below it just a small list of the many ideas we have swirly around! If you have an activity, event, or program you would like to see happen or, better yet, help plan, please let us know!

Great Endeavor Mom's Nights

GEH hosts monthly meetings for moms (GEM Nights) to connect and share fellowship. It is a great way to get involved in our group and meet other homeschool moms. The topics and speakers vary every month; some are geared to new homeschoolers and others are for seasoned homeschoolers. But every meeting will be a great time of fellowship for ALL moms!

Field trips

Various field trips are scheduled throughout the year.

Great Endeavor Academy

Lunch Bunch

We meet weekly for a picnic lunch and playtime at the playground. We rotate between parks in the Durham area and, if it's raining, we move the party to the Life & Science Museum.

NOT Back to School Carnival & Chili Cook-Off

A fun NOT back to school celebration featuring carnival games for the kids and a dad's chili cook-off! Occurring every fall, this is a fun and family oriented way to kick off another school year!

It's the end of another school year and what better way to celebrate than with some fun field day games!

One Smart Cookie Graduation Party

Whether they are moving from 1st to 2nd, making the leap to Middle School or, the big day, High School Graduation, they deserve recognition and mom deserves to a standing ovation! We like to celebrate everyone's annual accomplishments with a graduation 'One Smart Cookie' Party. Everyone contributes to our cookie bar and we enjoy a time of family fellowship. Every student receives a certificate but each high school graduate's families are given the opportunity to put together a short presentation honoring their graduate! It will be a special time for all Great Endeavor Homeschool families!
